Our baby turns 2

On Tuesday Aaden had his 2nd birthday. We had a little get together with friends and family and had cake and ice cream, opened presents and then watched the Sun's game(which ended the season for the Sun's:(. Listed below are a few of Aaden's favorite things:

1. Aaden loves his cousins. He ask everyday if he can go see Eilee, Lanee, Macy, Kadee or Conner. Some times I have to tell him we will go see your cousins if you help mommy and pick up your toys!
2. Aaden love bubbles and because of this will now go to nursery with out crying. We could blow bubbles for the kid all day and he would never get bored.
3. Aaden loves balloons, especially the punch ones with a string. He will sit and hit it in the air and entertain himself.
4. Aaden loves cheese, chocolate, strawberrys and Sponge Bob fruit snakes. These are his most requested snacks.
5. Aaden loves Barney. This is the only cartoon he would watch up to about 2 months ago. It was on replay constantly at our house. Finally, he is starting to watch other things like Pooh and Tigger, Micky Mouse, and a few Disney movies(thank you, I have had enough Barney to last me a life time).
6. Last but not least Aaden loves balls. He loves baseball, basketball, football and even volleyball(I think this is from watching mom to much). He has his only little basketball hoop and will play with it for hours or now that the weather is nice he loves going outside and hitting of his baseball tee. He has a bucket of balls and he will sit there and hit all of them and then go around the yard and pick them up and start all over again. His new favorite thing is to have us pitch it to him and hit. Daddy has been teaching him to throw it up and hit it himself. His eye-hand coordination surprises me for how little he is!

I can't believe how much this little boy has changed our life's. We are so grateful that he was sent to us to be part of our family and that Heavenly Father trusted us enough to be his parents.

Disneyland!

The Happiest Place on Earth!

On Sunday our family left for California to do the whole Disneyland thing for a couple of days. When we got into town we went straight to the beach because Nikki's kids had never been. At of all the kids Aaden was the one to get knocked down by a wave and got soaked and sandy. He didn't even cry, I think he was in shock of how cold the water was because in Hawaii the water was perfect. After getting knocked down he stayed back and played in the sand. After we left the beach we went to California Adventures and spent the rest of the day and night there. On Monday we got up bright and early and spent all day at Disneyland. Even as an adult I love that place. Aaron had not been since he was like 7 years old and thought it was just for little kids but he already wants to go back. He loved it!!! Aaden got to be with his cousins all day and if he wasn't close to Eilee and Lanee he would freak out(we now know that we can't go on vacation without one of them because Aaden absolutely adores them). Aaden didn't want anything to do with the princesses, he would start to cry if he got to close but he loved Minnie Mouse, Pooh, and Tigger. He gave Pooh a high five, blew kisses at Minnie Mouse and waved frantically good bye to Tigger. All in all it was a good trip. Getting up early and going to bed late with no nap was hard on a 2 year old and Aaron and I had to just keep reminding ourselves that he is only 2 and to have patience. We can't wait until we can go back. Next time we want to spend more than 2 days at the parks because there is so much to see and I don't want to be pregnant so I can enjoy the bigger rides.

Oh yeah, then on Wednesday we went to the doctor again for a sonagram to find out what this little baby is. Well, lets just say it is a stubborn little thing. The doctor is 99% sure that it is a GIRL. She had it's legs crossed the whole time so in two weeks he wants me to come in for a gender check just to be sure. Until then we are going to just say it is a girl(I guess we should have listened to Aaden because he knew all along it was a girl). She is healthy and growing perfectly.

FaThEr LiKe SoN

My two boys sure know how to drive me crazy. Aaden loves going behind me after I have spent hours cleaning and pulling out every toy just to see mommy pull her hair out. And Aaron loves to do anything to get under my skin and annoy me for a good laugh. But even though these two could drive me crazy, nothing melts my heart more then seeing my two boys in their Sunday best. I love them both very much and will take them driving me over the edge for moments like these.

Sorry for being a slacker

OK, so I know that I have been slacking about posting but nothing interesting has happened in our lives for the last couple of weeks. For those of you who don't know we are expecting baby #2 this summer. I am almost 24 weeks. I totally had something planned to post a couple of weeks ago when we had our ultrasound but the tech was let me say, (how do I put this nicely, OK there is no way to say it nicely) she was an IDIOT. She couldn't get a good profile picture or see what the sex of the baby was because supposedly the baby was sitting on its butt for the whole 45 minutes we were there. Anyway, so we find out on April 9th what we are having. I'll almost be 7 months pregnant by then and if I could wait I would but I hate surprises so we just have to find out. Plus, Aaron wants to know too because if it is a girl he needs to prepare himself for the years to come with a little girl. He doesn't have any sisters so having a girl will be totally different for him. Aaden loves the baby in mommy's tummy. He gives the baby(tummy) kisses everyday and loves rubbing lotion on it. Every time we ask him if the baby is a boy or girl he says giiiiirl. So we will see if he is right. I attached some random pictures of Aaden just being his silly self. I can't believe how big he is getting. He is starting to talk so much and he repeats everything we say. So I am having to watch that I don't slip and say my favorite word around him(for those of you who know what my favorite word is we will just keep it a secret).

These 3 pictures are when Aaden was trying to make a fire while mommy was working. If you notice he has ashes and black stuff all over him. He thought he was funny trying to hide from me when I was trying to take the pictures!!!

How to Eat a Reese's

Ok, so on the way home from Show Low the other day I had got one of those free candy bars for getting gas at Conoco and Aaden thought he just had to have it. By the looks of the picture I am not sure if he got any of it in his mouth. Instead it was all over his face, hands, hair, cloths, and car seat. So after we got home and took a picture because it was too cute to pass up he got straight in the bath!!!

SNOW FUN

Yesterday it snowed all day and every time Aaden would look outside he would say, "WOW". So today Aunt Nikki and the girls invited him over to play in the snow. It was a nice day, blue skys and a lot of snow. Aaden wasn't to sure what he was suppose to do in the snow at first but the girls had built a ramp from their drive way to go down in their sleed and Aaden loved that.

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale!!!
