Aaden loves the Christmas tree. When it starts getting dark he says, "Lights, Lights, lights." This means he wants mommy to turn the Christmas tree lights on. Everyday is the same thing, he pulls the same 2 balls off and thinks it is a joke to hide them from mommy, but I have learned where his hiding places are and find them right away. We tried wrapping some presents the other day and that was a whole new experience. I would put the wrapping paper on the ground and he thought that was an invitation for him to run across the paper and crinkle it. He hasn't tried to unwrap anything yet but he does love messing up the bows. Kids, they are so much fun. He makes Christmas so much more exciting. Below are pictures of him so excited after the lights got turned on!!!

Tagged
OK, I have been tagged by my sister and by Brittney so I guess I better do it so my sister stops harassing me.
Well I thought that it would be more fun to do 6 FACTS about us so here they are...
1. Aaron and I were high school sweethearts. I know how sweet. We started dating in October our freshman year. We had Algebra together in Mr. Kirkman's class. It started off as friends writing notes back and forth to each other and then hanging out on the weekends and we have never looked back since then. We dated all 4 years of high school without ever breaking up. After high school Aaron moved to Page for the summer to work at Lake Powell and we saw each other every other weekend. Then after Page he moved to Mesa where we both took college classes together. Then in 2004 we got married in June. I still love him more today then back then and appreciate everything that he does for are family.
2. I bought my first house when I was 19 years old. When I first moved to Mesa I lived with my sister and brother in-law for a year and in August of 2002 my dad came down and we started looking at condos and houses. I had been working for the same company for about a year and had got pre qualified for a condo. I didn't think I could buy a house, but my dad thought I would like a house better. There was a house for sale in my sisters neighborhood that we went and looked at. When we called the mortgage broker she said I could qualify for the house because the condos have such a high association fee that my payment would be the same. We put the offer in and it was accepted. I had roommates until Aaron and I got married and then the roommates moved out and Aaron moved in. Sometimes, when we go to Mesa we still drive by our house because of all the memories we have in that house and see what the new owners have done with it.
3. Right now are biggest dream is that our house will be done or even started in the new future. I know I should be grateful that we haven't started building yet because lumber, concrete, and everything else is coming down because construction is slowing down but I still want my house finished. Hopefully, this spring we will start and be in before Christmas next year. That is our goal. So in the meantime, for the last year that we have been up here without a mortgage payment I have gone crazy in buying stuff to decorate my dream house with. My sisters tell me to get stuff now because once you start it seems like any extra money is going into your house. I have one room full of stuff that I am storing to decorate my house with. I have had custom framing down for pictures like, "The Awesome Wonder" picture by Greg Olsen. I don't even know that size but it is huge. Every time I bring something home and put it in my storage room Aaron just shakes his head and laughs. He makes a joke now because I am in to rustic stuff that everything is going to be very rustic before I get to hang it.
4. We love sports. I love softball and volleyball(especially softball) and Aaron loves everything. Usually a game or sports center is on at our house. Thank goodness for DVR so we can watch the games and still record our other shows. Our church block was just changed from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and this is killing Aaron because it is right when the games start. I just keeping reminding him that is why we have DVR. He doesn't have to miss anything!!! Also, since we love sports I think it has rubbed off onto Aaden. The kid loves any kind of ball. Even when he sees the balls on the Christmas tree he says ball, ball. The kid can throw hard for such a little guy. He was playing with my 10 year nephew and my nephew could not believe how hard and accurate the kid could throw. Also, he can hit a ball of a tee and he already has form.
5. OK, a little joke around our house is that Aaron is the provider for our family but he gets an allowance each week from his pay check. He has direct deposit into main account and then I give him an allowance every week into his own little bank account that he can do whatever he wants with. I am still working for Concord and so he tells me that he is going to give me an allowance from my checks. I just smile at him and say his money is our money and my money is my money, but this is not the case. He knows that anytime he needs more money or wants to buy something big that he usually gets it. Like for instance the Ranger!!!
6. Last but not least we both love being a parent. It is the hardest job we have ever done but defiantly the most rewarding. Everyday Aaden does something new and amazes us. He is starting to talk more and out of the blue he will say a new word, like the new one this week is Yellow lights. His smile melts are hearts and every time we see it we just can't help but give him a kiss. Trust me, he is like his dad and has a little mischievous side. He loves to destroy things and make a miss. He will dump all of his toys out of the play box and then won't want to play with any of them. He just does it to make a miss, but I wouldn't trade him for anything.
OK, now I tag Shawna, Shanda and Cassie!

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale!!!
