Christmas Pictures

Christmas 2008

I can't believe how fast December has came and went. Christmas was a lot of fun this year. Aaden understood what was going and was so excited for Santa to come. Christmas Eve he got to open his jammie's and usually he likes to stay up late but we told him Santa can't come until he goes to sleep and after he put his new jammie's on he was asleep in like 10 minutes. When he woke up the next morning and saw his gifts and his stocking full. He said, "Santa came, Santa came and he even brought Addie some stuff." I thought it was cute how he was excited that he brought his sister something too. One of his gifts was a big remote control Dinosaur and it scarred him the first time he did it because it came straight for him and roared but once he figured out it was just a toy he was not scarred anymore. After opening presents from Santa and getting ready we headed to my parents house and spent the rest of the day with my entire family. It was a lot of fun and a lot of good food. Now we are ready for the New Year. Our New Years resolution is to be in our new house by next Christmas. We have the footings dug so hopefully by next year we will be in enjoying our new home!!! We hope that all of you had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Photography, my newest profession NOT

So last week I decided I would try and take the kids picture's by myself in front of the Christmas tree for our Christmas cards. Trying to get an almost 3 year old and a 6 month baby to corporate is IMPOSSIBLE. My children anyways. I would tell Aaden to just look at the camera and smile while I try to get Addie to smile. I was making all kinds of weird noises(like they do at the place that we get our pictures taken at and it always works)so Aaden decides to make the noises too to try and get Aadie to smile. Instead, Addie turns around looking at him wondering what the heck he is doing so then I start to tell him to just smile and not worry about Aadie. As she is turning to look at him she is slipping down so he decides to get the choke hold on her to hold her position, which then makes her mad and she starts to cry because no body likes to be choked. I finally got a good one of both of them and Addie had throw up on her chin. Goodness, I now know why photographers charge more money for bigger family's with children. I was only trying to get two kids to smile at once, I can't imagine a large group. Below are pictures from the whole experience. I think I will use some and send out on our Christmas card because lets face it. This is everyday life for us!!!

Here are a few more that Aaron and I took together because we thought it would be easier with two adults. It wasn't. So I guess we will just leave the picture taking to the professionals!!!

A lots been Happening!!!

Aaron was on vacation all of last week due to having a deer tag so it was really nice having him home. He got his nice 4 point over the 1st weekend so that meant we got him to ourselves the rest of the week. On Monday we went to Mesa for a fast day trip do some shopping(we had to come home because I still had to work for Concord.) Then on Friday we headed back to Mesa for the weekend to take Aaden to the Zoo. He LOVED it. Everytime we would see a new animal his eys would get so big. He knows all of his animals so when he would see it he would shout what it was. His favorite were the Giraffes and Elephants. Plus, he got to ride the camal with daddy and the carousel(Aaron is terrified of horses so it was fun watching that). Addie was awake the whole time at the zoo and was perfect. After the zoo, Aaron and I got to go to dinner with Shawna and Jeremy and do some more Christmas shopping. Thanks to my mother in law for taking Aaden we actually got to enjoy our food and not try to get him to sit and be good while we ate. Below are some pictures, I also include a couple of Halloween since I totally forgot to post those earlier!!!

Who says Girls can't play with balls

So anybody that knows Aaden knows that he has loved balls since he was very little. As soon as we brought Addie home he wanted to play catch with her. It took a couple of weeks for him to understand that she is too little to play catch but he is very determined so instead of playing catch with her he would always try to get her to hold onto the ball. Well, after much time and determination it finally happened. While I was making dinner the other night Addie was laying on the floor and Aaden was next to her trying to get her to hold the ball. Aaden was so excited and said, "Mom, Addie finally holding the ball." I turned around and sure enough she had the ball in her hand and held it for like ten minutes (trying to put it in her mouth). The last picture is Aaden being so excited that his little sister took grasp of the ball.

I also included some pictures of the Pumpkin patch where Aaden got to pick out his pumpkin!!!

Addies Special Day

A couple of weeks ago we had friends and family over for Addie's blessing. Aaron gave his little girl a beautiful blessing. Nothing makes me happier knowing that Aaron can give me or the kids a blessing whenever we need it. After the blessing we ate lots of food. We just want to thank everybody for coming and sharing this special day with us(and thank you Michael and Jeremy for coming in from hunting to be there, Aaron appreciated it)!!!

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale!!!
