"Lights" "Lights" "Lights"

Aaden loves the Christmas tree. When it starts getting dark he says, "Lights, Lights, lights." This means he wants mommy to turn the Christmas tree lights on. Everyday is the same thing, he pulls the same 2 balls off and thinks it is a joke to hide them from mommy, but I have learned where his hiding places are and find them right away. We tried wrapping some presents the other day and that was a whole new experience. I would put the wrapping paper on the ground and he thought that was an invitation for him to run across the paper and crinkle it. He hasn't tried to unwrap anything yet but he does love messing up the bows. Kids, they are so much fun. He makes Christmas so much more exciting. Below are pictures of him so excited after the lights got turned on!!!

Tagged

OK, I have been tagged by my sister and by Brittney so I guess I better do it so my sister stops harassing me.

Well I thought that it would be more fun to do 6 FACTS about us so here they are...

1. Aaron and I were high school sweethearts. I know how sweet. We started dating in October our freshman year. We had Algebra together in Mr. Kirkman's class. It started off as friends writing notes back and forth to each other and then hanging out on the weekends and we have never looked back since then. We dated all 4 years of high school without ever breaking up. After high school Aaron moved to Page for the summer to work at Lake Powell and we saw each other every other weekend. Then after Page he moved to Mesa where we both took college classes together. Then in 2004 we got married in June. I still love him more today then back then and appreciate everything that he does for are family.

2. I bought my first house when I was 19 years old. When I first moved to Mesa I lived with my sister and brother in-law for a year and in August of 2002 my dad came down and we started looking at condos and houses. I had been working for the same company for about a year and had got pre qualified for a condo. I didn't think I could buy a house, but my dad thought I would like a house better. There was a house for sale in my sisters neighborhood that we went and looked at. When we called the mortgage broker she said I could qualify for the house because the condos have such a high association fee that my payment would be the same. We put the offer in and it was accepted. I had roommates until Aaron and I got married and then the roommates moved out and Aaron moved in. Sometimes, when we go to Mesa we still drive by our house because of all the memories we have in that house and see what the new owners have done with it.

3. Right now are biggest dream is that our house will be done or even started in the new future. I know I should be grateful that we haven't started building yet because lumber, concrete, and everything else is coming down because construction is slowing down but I still want my house finished. Hopefully, this spring we will start and be in before Christmas next year. That is our goal. So in the meantime, for the last year that we have been up here without a mortgage payment I have gone crazy in buying stuff to decorate my dream house with. My sisters tell me to get stuff now because once you start it seems like any extra money is going into your house. I have one room full of stuff that I am storing to decorate my house with. I have had custom framing down for pictures like, "The Awesome Wonder" picture by Greg Olsen. I don't even know that size but it is huge. Every time I bring something home and put it in my storage room Aaron just shakes his head and laughs. He makes a joke now because I am in to rustic stuff that everything is going to be very rustic before I get to hang it.

4. We love sports. I love softball and volleyball(especially softball) and Aaron loves everything. Usually a game or sports center is on at our house. Thank goodness for DVR so we can watch the games and still record our other shows. Our church block was just changed from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and this is killing Aaron because it is right when the games start. I just keeping reminding him that is why we have DVR. He doesn't have to miss anything!!! Also, since we love sports I think it has rubbed off onto Aaden. The kid loves any kind of ball. Even when he sees the balls on the Christmas tree he says ball, ball. The kid can throw hard for such a little guy. He was playing with my 10 year nephew and my nephew could not believe how hard and accurate the kid could throw. Also, he can hit a ball of a tee and he already has form.

5. OK, a little joke around our house is that Aaron is the provider for our family but he gets an allowance each week from his pay check. He has direct deposit into main account and then I give him an allowance every week into his own little bank account that he can do whatever he wants with. I am still working for Concord and so he tells me that he is going to give me an allowance from my checks. I just smile at him and say his money is our money and my money is my money, but this is not the case. He knows that anytime he needs more money or wants to buy something big that he usually gets it. Like for instance the Ranger!!!

6. Last but not least we both love being a parent. It is the hardest job we have ever done but defiantly the most rewarding. Everyday Aaden does something new and amazes us. He is starting to talk more and out of the blue he will say a new word, like the new one this week is Yellow lights. His smile melts are hearts and every time we see it we just can't help but give him a kiss. Trust me, he is like his dad and has a little mischievous side. He loves to destroy things and make a miss. He will dump all of his toys out of the play box and then won't want to play with any of them. He just does it to make a miss, but I wouldn't trade him for anything.

OK, now I tag Shawna, Shanda and Cassie!

Deer Hunt

For the last two weekends we have been camping and hunting. We had 4 deer tags in our group and came home with all 4. There was a lot of hunting, riding quads, eating and visiting. The weather was perfect for November and all in all it was a good time.

OUR NEW TOY

OK, Aaron has been wanting a 4-wheeler or Ranger for over a year. Like everything he wants I tell him to start saving. So after researching he decided he didn't want a 4-wheeler any more he wanted a Ranger. Aaron already knew what he wanted on it and we actually had some friends that had the exact Ranger that Aaron was looking for with all the extras. I did some shirts for them and Aaron said if you ever want to get rid of your Ranger let me know. So the next week we got a call and they said they were ready to upgrade and wanted to know if we wanted their Ranger. Aaron went and looked at it and came home and told me the price and he said, "Before you ask we have all the money saved." So guess what we are the proud owners of a Ranger. We are going deer hunting this weekend so we will get to try it out. I am excited because deer hunting in November can be cold but it has a heater so we will be a little bit warmer. From the below pictures you can tell that Aaden loves it and every time we go out side and see it in the garage he screams, "RIDE, RIDE."

HALLOWEEN

Aaden was a lion for Halloween this year. He loved his costume except for the hood, as soon as I would put it on him he would pull it off. I had to distract him by giving him candy or something long enough to get a picture with his hood on. We went with my sister and her girls to the trunk or treat and he got the whole concept of putting his bag out and somebody would put something in it. As soon as somebody would put something in it he would want to eat it. So lets just say the kid was full of sugar when we got home!!!

PUMPKIN CARVING

Monday night we carved a couple of pumpkins. Aaden knew exactly what to do because over the weekend Grandpa and Grandma Coor carved a pumpkin with Aaden while mommy and daddy went shopping. As soon as I cut the top off he was ready to get the guts out. He did a really good job and got pumpkin guts and seeds everywhere.

Then he got a bubble bath to clean all the pumpkin off him.

Before he went to bed we let him help daddy light his pumpkin and Tuesday night he also got to light his pumpkin.

Pumpkin Patch

Over the weekend we went to the Pumpkin Patch to get a few pumpkins. I think we came home with about 18 pumpkins and gords(I got a little carried away). Aaron had to get a wheel borrow to carry them all. Aaden loved sitting on the pumpkins and hanging out with his cousins. We told him to pick a pumpkin out and instead of picking a pumpkin out he picked up a clod of dirt.

Not Getting any sleep

Aaden has not been feeling very good the last couple of days due to getting more teeth. He has had a runny nose(even though the doctor says this is not from teething but every time he is getting a new tooth his nose runs) and has being sleeping like crap. Mommy and Aaden are both very tired. Aaden usually loves his bed but for the last week he only wants to sleep by mommy, both at night and for his nap. Finally, today he layed down in his bed and fell asleep. We are hoping that the dang tooth comes through so we can go back to sleeping all through the night. I went in to check on him and he looked so peaceful with his silky blanket right by his face!!!

The BIG 1-9

Happy Birthday, Aleesa!!! We just want you to know how much we love you and hope that you have a great day!!!

Family Vacation

Well, after being gone for almost two weeks we have returned from our family vacation to the great state of Hawaii. We flew out on 09/11/07 to Oahu with my mom and dad, Jolynn, Devin and Conner, Aleesa and our little Aaden. We stayed on this Island for 3 days. We visited the Polynesian Culture Center, Pearl Harbor, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and the Hawaii temple(plus we saw every road and freeway, not once but maybe even twice due to getting lost)!!! It was a lot of fun but because we did so much in those 3 days we were excited to fly to Kauai for some time to hang out at the beach and just relax.

We stayed in Princeville, which is the north side of the Island and it was much different then Oahu. Kauai only has one road that takes you from one side of the island to the other. They have beautiful mountains with waterfalls every where and everything is green and gorgeous. Aaron's aunt Kay and cousin Erica live in Princeville, it was so much fun seeing them and letting us check out why they love it there(we are so jealous, they live in a vacation 24/7). Thanks Aunt Kay and Erica for dinner and showing us the island, we love you!!! Aaron and I can't wait to go back we already started saving for the next trip. Check out the pictures of our trip(sorry there is so many we took over a thousand pics so I had a lot to choose from)!!!

Camping Trip over Labor Day weekend!

Over Labor Day we went camping with a bunch of friends. Everybody that went was Teresa and Michael Abbott with there two girls Jayda and Mikelle. Shawna and Jeremy Smith with their little boy Jett. Jolynn and Devin Wood with their little boy Connor. Todd and Clarissa Baldwin with their two boys, but it seemed like they always disappeared when we got the camera out. SO no pictures. It was a lot of fun. We rode 4-wheelers, played wiffle ball(hopefully that is spelled right), the boys shot their guns and did practice shooting with their bow and arrows. We ate a lot of good food and enjoyed each other's company.

OUCH

This week Aaden had to get stitches. He was playing on the trampoline and thought it would be funny to run to the other side and when he tried to stop he tripped and fell right on the spring. He got a little cut on his eye brow. He only cried for like 30 seconds and then he wanted to go for round 2 and get back up on the trampoline. He wouldn't let us get close enough to look at it so we took him to the doctor to see if he needed stiches. Sure enough he needed 3 little stitches. I don't think the fall was as bad as the stitches because everybody in Dr. Nichols office heard him while they put the stitches in. It only took 3 people to hold him down but we got it done. As soon as it was done they gave him a sucker and he was fine. I'm sure this is just the 1st of many times to come of visiting the doc!!!

FINALLY THEY WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

After several years of taking 2nd place in the City League Softball league they finally take 1st. Aaron's team took 1st place in the tournament with no loses. Aaron's team consisted of his brother's Michael and Adam and Jeremy Martinez, Tyler Lopez, Dallin McCleve, Daniel, Jeremy Ballard, Clay Bryant, Ren Bryant, Cody Rodriquez, and Cody Overley.

Rayna's team also took 1st place. We had to come out of the losers bracket because we lost a game early in the tournament but we came back and beat Kay Supply to take the championship. I also played with my sisters Nikki, Aleesa and sister-in-law Becki. Also on our team was Teresa Abbott, Brittney Ervien, Sheridan Tenney, Hayley Kelley, Missy Gardner, Courtney Lopez, Lawryn Dewitt, and Kaitlynn Hatch. It was a fun summer of playing softball.

Caught with his hand in the cheerio box

I have been really busy the last couple of weeks and I think Aaden was trying to tell me that he need my attention for a couple of minutes because a left the kitchen just for a minute and when I came around the corner he had a surprise for me. He had pulled the cheerio box down and had them everywhere. He was sticking his little hand in the box and would take a bite of cheerios and then throw the rest on the floor. He had just had marshmallows so he was sticky everywhere so the cheerios where sticking all over him. At first it was something I wanted to get mad at but seeing him sit there with his hand in the box and eating them I just couldn't do anything but laugh at him and take his picture. After we picked up the mess we went out side and played on his 4-wheeler. So I guess his tricked worked by getting mom's attention!!!

1st Blog

My friend told me a long time ago that I should create a blog, but it seems like I never could find the time. Today is the day that I give it a try.

Everything is going good in the Coor home. We have been married for 3 years and have a 15 month old baby boy named Aaden Jude. He's not much a baby any more, he is defiantly in the toddler stage. He is running all over and in to everything. He loves any kind of ball(baseball, basketball, football) and throws everything. He even has a little bat and knows how to swing it and hit the ball. I can't believe how good his hand-eye coordination is at such a young age. Hopefully, it will stay with him as he gets older.

We moved back to Taylor from Mesa about year ago. We are in the process of building our house and we can't wait. It has been hard to move from our house in Mesa to living in my Grandpa's house but hopefully we can start on it soon. Aaron is working for UPS and loves it. He is happy that he listened to his wife 3 years ago when she suggested that he apply for UPS because now he knows that it is the perfect job for him. He doesn't ever have to stay in one place and gets to talk to people all day. He now knows he could have never been a nurse. Aaron's parents moved to Mesa so we bought the T-shirt business from them. So I am running the T-shirt business, being a mom and still working part time for Concord Servicing out of Scottsdale, Arizona. I am very busy and sometimes a little stressed out but at the end of the day I love it.

We are very grateful for everything that we have been given and excited to see what life brings us in the future. For now we just live one day at a time!!!
Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale!!!
